Or did she…..? It was bad enough that she caught her Dad “comforting” Mrs. Rosen. When Don hooked up with the teacher, it made me think that he may have actually been trying to get caught. It was so close to home! And don’t get me started on Bobbie Barrett. Don, how could you? Why would you? Reply rl1856 says: April 22, 2016 at 7:38 pm If you look at the arc represented by the women Don bedded, each one was successively closer to home. The teacher was close enough, but Arnold’s wife was literally -in- their home. I think he was subconsciously trying to get caught. Deep down he considered himself to be a naughty boy, and he felt horrible about what he was doing. Reply Polly Draper says: April 22, 2016 at 10:06 pm Brilliant insight! Reply tilden katz says: May 2, 2016 at 3:52 am DD was sick of Betty by then, (” I DONT CARE”) and vice-versa, it just didn’t occur to him that the actual end would be a nightmare for him. And only him. He can only see/like the beginning of things. Suzanne was so lovely, kind. I was nuts about her. The moment Don runs his fingers through the blades of grass during the maypole dance in Love Among the Ruins is my favorite in all of MM. The moment was perfect. Reply Polly Draper says: May 2, 2016 at 9:10 pm Hey, tilden. Yes, that moment was beyond perfect especially because we could only guess the intrigue in his eyes. It is one of my favorites, too, but I have several favorites.
