Ellie Kemper talks about having Jon Hamm as a teacher in high school and having him guest star on her show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Elisabeth Moss stars in the indie movie Queen of Earth, which opens in August.

Moss will also return for Season 2 of Jane Campion’s acclaimed Top of the Lake.

John Slattery will co-star in Spotlight, about the investigation into the Boston Archdiocese and allegations of child abuse. He also appears in Wet Hot American Summer.

Homeland Season 4 will begin on October 4.

In case you missed it, Polly Draper alerted us to a HUGE Mad Men props auction, starting today.

They watch Better Call Saul at the International Space Station.

There is a really truly Breaking Bad themed coffee shop.

A little behind-the-scenes (see what I did there?) on EW’s Walking Dead cover shoot.

Alanna Masterson, The Walking Dead‘s Tara, is expecting her first child.

Scott Gimple, The Walking Dead‘s showrunner, revealed information about new characters who will appear next season.

Judy Greer will guest star in a Masters of Sex episode. Rob Benedict of Supernatural will also join in a recurring role.

Here’s some video of the actual Masters and Johnson talking about their 1966 book release.

Downton Abbey‘s Dan Stevens stars in The Guest, where he sheds his nice-guy image.

Pop Matters talks about the history of the song “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, which was, of course, featured in the Mad Men episode The Summer Man.

  1. Merritt Weaver on TWD? I’ll be watching. The EW photo is hilarious. Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Alycia Debnam-Carey, *and* Ruben Blades on Fear: TWD? I’ll be checking it out.

  2. Stephanie Drake (Meredith) will appear Aug 4 on the ADD Channel “Dates Gone Bad –” series. Click “Hollis” above for You Tube preview trailer and links to previous episodes.

    • “Hollis” now links to Stephanie’s episode. It’s not very funny, but is improved by watching the bad CC (Jesus Christ = she just cried)

  3. re: “Satisfaction”

On the DVD commentary for “The Summer Man,” Matt Weiner says he’d always planned to use the song as emblematic of that specific period, and loved it to accompany Don trying to get his groove back, but admits he didn’t realize the lyrics were about advertising until working on the episode.

  4. Wet Hot American Summer is full of people who were in Mad Men: John Slattery, Jon Hamm, Rich Sommer, Bruce Greenwood, the guy who played Bill Phillips in Lost Horizon, and Marguerite Moreau played a prostitute in season 2.

  5. Mini-Mad Men reunion at Oceana benefit last night…Jon Hamm warns of his poor speech skills and says that Kiernan Shipka will save him by singing a song….also in attendance: January Jones and Michael Gladis.
