As you can see, we’ve lost a ton of data: Everything posted after April 22, 2014 is gone.

The most recent Wayback Machine save is May 27. Everything after that is permanently lost.

If you have Word files or downloads or screen captures of missing stuff, please send it to us! If you’d like to help us with the process of saving stuff from Wayback so we can restore it, we’d love that!

If you’re a Basketwriter and were smart enough to save an article you wrote off-line, please re-send it!

And to everyone, writers, readers, fans and foes, we apologize. We missed you.

  1. Welcome back! I’ve missed you!

  2. I guess I better get back to work.

That’s what Freddy Rumson would say.

  3. Thank God you guys are back!
I missed this place so much!
Thank you for all your efforts.
    Susan F.

  4. Glad to see the site back. By the way, how will the end of the series next year affect BoK?

    • We will stay in business, DH. We will continue to write about Mad Men, we have numerous other TV shows we follow and will continue to add and subtract shows, and we will follow Matthew Weiner’s career, as well as the careers of Jon Hamm, Elizabeth Moss, et al.

  5. Well thank God for that! Well done for getting back online. What actually happened, if you don’t mind me asking?

  6. YAY!!!!!!!

  7. A warm glow came over me when Basket of Kisses hit the screen after me searching for you guys like a zillion times a day — you are a daily ritual. When you were MIA, I felt like Dr. Stone (Sandra Bullock) in Gravity, floating in space feeling the emptiness of the universe (maybe not that bad but close). Then Lieutenant Kowalski (George Clooney) appears in a hallucination advising us how to fix our space rockets (BofK) and we are energized to think life will get back to normal. A stretch but I can’t tell you how excited i was to see your note that told us BofK got busted but was on life support. Many thanks for bringing the patient back to life!

Maybe we should all just relive Season 7 all over again…

  8. i know how Bob’s Shorts feels. i kept wondering if it was something on my end. damn IE9!! and i never read part 2 of the MW interview.

but thank the Lord, everyone is safe and healthy and the world is right again.

    welcome back

    • We have the full audio of the MW interview, and Roberta will confirm if we still have the transcript. I have close to finished recaps of all 7 episodes — I always do last minute tweaks inside the blog, but my Word documents are 90%. Quotes and Cultural References are probably closer to 75%.

  9. So happy you’re back and thank you for all of your work on this site!

  10. Can we all watch each episodes for homework and you put up the recap and then we can comment.
It could be fun watching it as a group and commenting because we know what is going to happen next but we will see “new things”?

  11. Also, do you need a little fundraising for the site.
I imagine there were costs….can we help?
    Love you sisters.

  12. Oh, thank goodness. Welcome back!! And yes, please let us know if we can help defray costs! Set up a Paypal!

(apologies for all the !!!! but you were missed)

  13. Yay! I’m a long time lurker and sometimes poster and I’ve missed my basket fix! So glad you’re back!

  14. Seems like getting back a missing child. Quick check.

All limbs intact, no obvious bruises anywhere, fingers, toes.. 1, 2, 3… 20!

Open mouth – darn! Couple teeth missing! Now lets see about getting a bridge installed.

  15. Awww. For a while, I would always save a Word copy of my pieces, but I didn’t do that for “20 Things I Want to Know (Or See) Before Mad Men Ends,” so I guess it is lost forever. 🙁 I might be able to recreate it, or some of it.

That one posted on May 8th, according to my failed Google search. Most of my other pieces are older so probably are still saved, but I’ll try testing when I get a chance and make sure they are still here. If I find anything else, I’ll let you know.

  16. So sorry about your difficulties! Love reading your reviews/recaps – i’m a bit of a procrastinator, and I often save them to read later – if you want them, i have some from May 2012-2014 – I can put them in a dropbox folder if you want them…

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
