The Mad Men Season 6 premiere has a title and typically inscrutable summary.

See the Mad Men cast at the Season 6 red carpet premiere. But wait… there’s more!

Vincent Kartheiser and Alexis Bledel are engaged, raising the possibility of a child with the bluest eyes ever.  Alison Brie ponders a wedding gift… but isn’t the choice obvious?

Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks, Kiernan Shipka, John Slattery, Vincent Kartheiser, January Jones, Jessica Paré, and Matthew Weiner will all be at the Paley Center April 23rd. [So will the Lipps -K]

Elisabeth Moss has been crushing it in interviews promoting Top of the Lake and Mad Men.  She’s wildly funny in parts of this New York Times exchange.  She reveals a theme of Season 6 at the Wall Street Journal.  And she talked about “Barbie-gate” on Chelsea Later.

Jon Hamm has been instructed that Don Draper wears underwear.

March Mad Men-ness:

Season 6 poster artist Brian Sanders talks to… the AARP.

The Daily Mail makes a good effort at tracking down Season 6 promo pic fashion.

Why The Walking Dead wins with women.

Did the Abbey plunder Fiddler on the Roof?

  1. Well, I just lost $70 — Signed up for Paley Center to get tix for MM event, only to find I’m too late :-(
Tell the MM cast I said “Hi!” Maybe next year.

    • Did you try to see if you can get tickets to the overflow room? I’ve been able to do that for other events. Try calling the Paley Center and asking.

  2. Will you guys be doing anything about Top of the Lake? The first two episodes were really good, and even if Elisabeth’s Kiwi accent is a little shaky, she’s doing a great job so far.

    • I have those episodes waiting for me on DVR. (Thursday is Scandal night.)

I’ll check it out, and connect with the Lipps if I’m moved to write about it. I’ve only seen good reviews of it, and her, so far.

  3. More MM Season 6 episode titles are up on IMDB — only 16 more days to go!!!!!!

  4. “Jon Hamm has been instructed that Don Draper wears underwear.”

Janie made the women wear the appropriate undergarments– I think Jon should have to do the same!

  5. i cannot believe that is DAWN on the red carpet….never would have recognized her. she’s a knockout!

  6. The NYT interviewer just had to ask Moss about Scientology – like a shiny new bauble – like she has ever answered with anything but “mind your own business” – like she will EVER answer otherwise.

Several of the commenters there said they would rather not know that about Moss’ – indeed.

  7. “Betty has a houseguest….”

    Glenn!

    Wouldn’t THAT be a gas?!

  8. Wow, I saw the countdown on this site: until now, I hadn’t fully realized we’re this close :-)

  9. Here’s a new article with some great quotes from MW and MM cast.

  10. Wondering– did they actually screen the first episode at the “premiere”, or was it just a publicity event? If it was screened, how can they prevent spoilers from leaking out?

    • Pretty sure they screened it, and there is a screener. And spoilers have leaked… just not here.

  11. You guys- As I was reviewing “Lady Lazarus” yesterday, a comment Beth made struck me. She’s telling Pete why she prefers suburbia, complaining about “hobos in doorways”…

    The Doorway.

Lots of door symbolism in this show, and of course hobos.

Will the law finally catch up with DD?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
