There are a fair number of items this week from the SAG Awards, where Downton Abbey, Claire Danes and Bryan Cranston took home Actors, while Mad Men and Jon Hamm got stiffed.

Elisabeth Moss, Jessica Pare, January Jones and Kiernan Shipka all rocked the SAG red carpet, as did Jon Hamm and Jennfer Westfeldt.  Scroll even further to see Alexis Bledel with Vincent Kartheiser, which is quasi-spoilery to the extent of his hairline.

Who What Wear instagrammed the crew that helped Kiernan look so adorable.

Elisabeth Moss talked about Jon Hamm while wearing million-dollar earrings. (Elsewhere, EM talked about doing her first onscreen nudity for Jane Campion’s new Sundance Channel miniseries Top Of the Lake.)

January Jones suggested that multiple dye jobs were making her hair fall out in clumps. (Elsewhere, it was reported that JJ split from Sweetwater scribe Noah Miller. Also, JJ talked to USA Today about Sweetwater and Mad Men.)

Jon Hamm and January Jones made 3 of BuzzFeed’s 14 SAG Awards moments.

Missing Mad Men is First World Problem No. 57.

Also at the SAG Awards: Anna Gunn, Betsy Brandt and R.J. Mitte talked about the final episodes of Breaking Bad.  Elssewhere, Brandt talked about landing the role of Michael J. Fox’s wife in his upcoming sitcom.

Jane Kaczmarek will return to Breaking Bad… but only for the DVDs.

Who’s The Boss? Jon Hamm, of course.

The themes to Downton Abbey and The X-Files sound similar.

Downton Abbey has been satirically reimagined as a Super Nintendo game.

A fascination with history and the epicurean delights shown on Downton Abbey has inspired a Canadian fan to create a blog about the food on the wildly successful British television drama.

Brendan Coyle got into a Twitter fight with a Downton fan.

Glen Mazzarra obliquely addressed his departure as showrunner of The Walking Dead.

  1. On the 30 Rock finale last night Liz says a great line to Jack.

“Jack! Wait! There’s so much to live for! Don’t you want to know how Mad Men ends! Don goes to work for Peggy!” —Liz

Did Liz Lemon figure out the end of the series? 🙂

    • Yes. She does.
Peggy will bail him out of the slammer for a second time.
Don will owe her his very life. Olson & Whitman will open for business on 1 January 1970.

      • Absolutely….Peggy is the “character” witness who saves Dick when he is finally nabbed for desertion and impersonating an officer. Olson and Whitman go on to win the biggest Clio of all in 1971 for the Coke campaign, “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing.”
