This picture got me thinking of Don and Megan and his impetuous move to become engaged. He thought he had been in love with her all along but I think his wires were crossed. He saw Miss Farrell in Megan when dealing with the kids.
I wonder if Suzanne Farrel might be who he really wants and loves but does not know it.
Think about it, Suzanne loves kids, she has proven her love and understanding. She was a nuturing force to him. The pillow talk was sweet. Dick was seen when talking about how he would have loved her as a kid. She said. “I bet you were serious.” She knew.
She knows his heart and soul and loves him. (even if the audience didn’t go for her).
So, I am thinking in season 5 Don breaks it off with Megan and we see he has kept the house for the kids weekends and dates Miss Farrell in the open! Wadda ya think? Forgive me, I love a happy ending.
The relative dearth of Jessica Pare-ish interviews and pics on the internet intrigues me. It’s almost like the actress has been “disappeared” internet-wise.
Maybe Megan won’t be a major player in the new season. (hopes).

Not just in her interactions with his kids, either. Miss Farrell is the one Don fell for last, before Megan. I don’t think he was in love with Faye, although they had a lot of fun. But Suzanne and Megan both gave him something he needed, and maybe had never got before, just by being themselves with him.
I loved the Suzanne character on the show. She was a breath of fresh air after some of the vain, covetous and mean-spirited denizens of the Mad world. But not everyone liked her, or Megan, either. Don did, though!
I loved Suzanne Farrell, and remain extremely puzzled as to why she incited such vitriol in some of the Basketcases. I actually let my guard down and hoped Don would leave what’s her face for Suzanne. Silly child am I. She was so sweet she actually asked DD how HE was doing after he tells her its over! Is she a dream or what?
MW only brings back old flames in cameos (Rachel,Midge). so there won’t be any roll in the hay down memory lane with beautiful Suzanne.
