  1. That Mad Men Halloween scene flashed me back to my childhood. One of my earliest Halloween memories is rebelling against my Mom dressing me up as a hobo. It was Batman, or nothing! BIF! POW! BAMM!

  2. Anybody got a wig, dark glasses and a white sheet? You could go as the ghost of Miss Blankenship.

  3. I’m waiting to see if any adults show up at my door looking like a MM character. I doubt it, but I’m hoping nonetheless.

  4. I loved this scene and the Don/Sally argument about store-bought costumes. We went through the same thing every year at our house… and ended up as gypsies and hobos each time. It reminds me of how we used to take for granted my mom’s lovingly home-cooked meals and went crazy for TV dinners when we had a babysitter. Those original Mad Men really worked their magic… thanks to TV advertising, we dismissed homemade stuff as boring and embraced the cheap flashy junk you could buy at the store.

  5. Approximately one hundred visitors… no Mad Men.

    Kids today.

  6. We still have 1/2 a bowl of candy. Did anyone see Hamm on SNL last night?

  7. He was good. But I was sad he didn’t give a little Don Draper. He was so hilarious in the past when he spoofed the character.
I guess it’s like DeNero not wanting to say, “You talking to me?” to every fan who asks for it….
I love Jon Hamm and I loved his JFK impersonation. And he cracked me up with those Swifty Lazarr eye glasses on the key board!
It would have been so cool to have him do a little Don.
Remember the time he did the tips on handling women? He could have given tips on what the divorced dad does…

  8. Here’s one of my Jack O’Lanterns (very baroque) that I made a little 360 film of on You Tube:

Maybe next year I’ll make a Mad Men One! (I’d love to learn the method where you just carve into the shell, not through it, creating a glowing effect.

Hope you had a fun Halloween! -Therese
