I’m not sure exactly when the old database–meaning, the past 2 1/2 years worth of posts & cool stuff–will be backed up. But I have just backed up everything from the past two weeks, and Rich is in the process of scheduling a backup of everything before that, and so we are going dark. No posts until this is all done. Probably a matter of hours.
Update: Current ETA is tomorrow (Friday) morning.

So, I was wondering some time back (probably on too old a post, it just sat there) why Old Web Guy hadn't insured himself against this sort of failure. Just sort of an amateur? I hope New Web Guy is set up better?
I didn't ask Old Web Guy, because really, salt in a wound.
