If she doesn't win it would be a huge upset! She's hysterical.
Congrats to Jon and January, and the whole production team! The Golden Globes are tough, particularly in the Supporting Categories because the nominees come from all genres, so to get two acting nominations is quite an achievement.
It's true about Christina–her character is such a bright spot on the show. And of course, Elisabeth and Vincent. Bryan had quite a season, Slattery (usually a pick) was ignored, and y'know, that Robert Morse is no slouch. The cast is too big and too brilliant. Michael Gladis, Alison Brie and Deborah Lacey were all wonderful this year.
Just to say…more than any other season, Season Three for MM, was more than brilliant with the likes of Peggy, Pete, Trudy, Sal, and always (for me) the ultimate actors, JOAN and ROGER…shining beyond belief. What is wrong with these nominations?
They do not reflect any smarts. I am joyous for John and January, but really, what is wrong with this picture???
You probably already know this ladies, but Paul Kinsey was on "The Good Wife" tonight (great show! totally different than MM) playing a lawyer and he was very cute. He looked weird in modern dress.
I am thrilled that two are nominated, but wish more had been chosen, especially Slattery, who is absolutely brilliant. I am still bristling over People Magazine picking Johnny Depp for the second time as Sexiest Man Alive and putting Jon on a “humor page” as being a Fabio look-alike. Jon belonged on the cover! I know it is a silly award but to diss Jon that way was just plain wrong.
I'm so glad Jon Ham, Elizabeth Moss and January Jones have each at least received a nomination, but I agree, there are also so many great actors on this show, who aren't the leads. I wonder if they're being overlooked simply because there are too many of them. How to pick ONE or are they all supposed to run against each other? Allison, Vincent and especially Christina stand out for me. I think their day may be coming soon, though.
Then there's John Slattery, Bryan Batt, Melinda McGraw … and the list goes on…. Kiernan Shipka down the line.
If these award organizations gave best cast awards, you know Mad Men would win every time!
I'm frustrated, but not surprised that Slatterly and Hendricks were snubbed. It always takes a while (sometimes forever) for award organizations to acknowledge the supporting cast of bigger shows, even if the acting is stellar. Still don't know how Emmy and Globe could have ignored Christina last season after the horrific rape scene.
Let's hope the Emmys in 2010 will have more sense.
#8 Hudsunn – Totally agree! I was deeply disturbed. What is wrong with the people at People! Fabio? Really? Ugh. He's just creepy. Let's lock him away in Grandpa Gene's room and give JH the sexiest man alive treatment he deserves!
I'd say it's a slam dunk if there ever was one for Lynch — she's a scream in Glee. Easily the best new character on TV. A brilliant foil for Will's character.
Deserved congrats to Jon and Jan, although it would have been nice to see the love spread a little more. Yes, Jane Lynch is amazing.
For those who missed Oprah last summer, they're rerunning the MM theme show with JJ and JH on Friday the 18th. It wasn't stellar, but then again this is the dry season! As we learned later, both did red-eyes to tape it.
So happy about the nods this year, although I really think Christina deserves a little recognition by someone! Maybe the Emmys next year…
And I'm in the rare camp of people who absolutely despise Glee. And I'm a high school-age theatre geek. Pulling for a Modern Family win in the comedy category.
Rant: WHY ISN'T BRYAN CRANSTON NOMINATED FOR BREAKING BAD? HE'S WON TWO EMMYS IN HIS CATEGORY AND HAS NEVER EVEN BEEN NOMINATED FOR A GLOBE. SIMON BAKER?!
Get ready! Sunday, March 25, 9pm Eastern happens in 1 month and 17 days!

Hopefully Jon wins this time so he can accept the award in person.
Christina Hendricks is snubbed…

Yay team! Yay Jon! YAY JAN!
I'd love to see Christina, Vincent, Elisabeth and John nominated too, but it's such a big thing to get our very own January into the running. At last!

Wonderful news! It was inevitable that both Jon and January would each receive a nomination given their performances in "The Gypsy and the Hobo."
If I had to have chosen a supporting player who shined this season, I would go with Bryan Batt.
ohhhh…I forgot about Bryan Batt. He was just tragic and brilliant. Season 3 was definitely his year!

No, we missed that one! Michael's people need to be contacting us!

Deborah Lacey and Sarah Drew are amazing…
Another off-topic sighting: Slattery did a segment on tonight's Colbert Report, a pretaped mock-pitch for investing in gold.

Yes, I love Glee.

I’m okay with the nominations. Although I would have been happy if Bryan Batt had received a supporting nod.
And I too forgot Bryan Batt.
I hang my head in shame. I love you, Bryan. Ever since Sal was fired, I’ve … been fragile.
