Mad About Gossip: Christina Hendricks
It’s not everyday that we find pictures of Christina Hendricks. The curvaceous Mad Men starlet tends to stay out of the public eye. BUT, here she is at the Calgary store opening along with a few other celebs:

I’m not a fan of the suit-like dress, but if you’re interested, it’s by Canadian David Szeto. I also didn’t realize how tall she was. Granted she is wearing heels, but so are Kristen Bell and Elisha Cuthbert ( pictured in the last photo).
Don’t get caught looking foolish, update your wardrobe. But be smart about it. Find fashionable and chic wholesale clothing online. Save yourself some money and stress.

She's too thin : (

She lovely, but every time I see her in real life her I think she looks so much better on MM. The 60's suit her.

Christina Hendricks is too thin? How?
November 30th, 2009 at 9:14 am
Oh that is one fugly dress!
I'm not a fan of the double-breasted anything for women (exept Joan, of course), so why a wrap dress would try to encorporate that element is beyond me.
Yuck for the gray color, too — the orange shoes are inexplicable, also.
WTF applies for the whole outfit.
And yes, the early sixties fashions seem to suit Christina better than the current designer afflicitions reigned on her by (I assume) Hollywood stylists confused by a curvy body.

How? She lost thirty pounds this year–perhaps to appease the cruel press, perhaps for her wedding. But her face–too thin. I'm not suggesting she is disordered, not at all. I just think she was prettier last year.

I agree that she's too thin. I like the curves.
Can someone in their thirties be considered a "starlet?"
November 30th, 2009 at 10:24 am
She may be too thin, yes. Still lovely, though.
Curves just suit some women. Christina is one of them.
November 30th, 2009 at 10:46 am
Most definitely still lovely.
And it's not like she still doesn't have curves!

Even at the height of Twiggy's fame, a woman built like the "fatter" (heh) Joan would still have many admirers. She may have a harder time finding clothes that suit her–but I have faith in Our Joan.

Okay, she is at LEAST 234567893456789 Big Macs away from being Lindsay Lohan thin. I think she is still curvy and fabulous.
November 30th, 2009 at 2:56 pm
that’s a lotta big macs.
November 30th, 2009 at 3:21 pm
Yeah, I liked the curvier Christine, too.
It was also more historically correct — the Twiggy phenomena is still 3 years away in Mad Men land.
November 30th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
I am no fan of the Big Mac.
In its place, please consider the Double Double (if you live on the West Coast). Those with a sweet tooth may also try Haagen-Dazs, cherry vanilla flavor, or Recchiuti's Peanut Butter Pearls.
All guaranteed to enhance your girly curves, and make you happy as hell in the meantime.

I’ll gladly dissent – I think that dress is absolutely smashing. If I had the figure for it, I’d be ripping it off her back.

I don't know if it's the angle of the second picture or what, but that is the least flattering picture of Christina I've ever seen. Maybe it's her expression. but I hadn't noticed until now that her face is thinner. But she is still one of the most beautiful women in the world, and I really hope she won't lose any more weight. Please dear, have a little cheesecake!

*jaw drops*
Christina makes the day *that* much better.
November 30th, 2009 at 6:42 pm
The dress and shoes are just awful. Both Christina and January need to either fire their stylists or hire some. They are both gorgeous and can so easily look better than they have in recent photos.
November 30th, 2009 at 9:06 pm
She’s definitely not as Rubenesque as she was in previous years–but I don’t care, I think that dress is fierce. She just needed more luminous jewelry is all. Earrings would’ve helped soften the look.
November 30th, 2009 at 9:45 pm
I love the dress. Maybe an inch shorter. Her face looks gaunt.

hmm…never noticed her weight gain.
I know a lot of curvy women with thin faces.
December 1st, 2009 at 2:38 am
oops…weight loss*

#2 lindas0809 I always think the same thing. Christina is a beautiful woman, but she seems so much more beautiful in her 60s persona than in real life. Maybe they tint her hair just a tad brighter for the show & she has more make up on? Maybe I only say this b/c she is shear perfection on MM, and of course, in real life it is impossible to be perfection…but she is beautiful!
December 1st, 2009 at 12:06 pm
It’s not so much that Christina is super-tall than it is that Kristen Bell (and I guess Elisha Cuthbert) are very, very tiny. Isn’t Kristen like 5’1″ or something?
I don’t think she’s gaunt, but slimming down a little definitely shows up the angles in her face more. She softened up a bit for Mad Men, but it looks like she’s back to her Firefly weight, which isn’t a bad thing, and it’s not like she’s anywhere near an eating disorder. Me, I thought she was perfect in MM season 1; that’s this man’s opinion.
Like the dress! Or rather, the way it wraps around those dangerous curves.

Could I offer you ladies a saucer of milk?
*takes off running while I still can*

Re: gauntness of the face, what about a facelift or some other trendy hollywood tightening/pull back procedure as the cause– from the neck down she still looks healthy and curvvy to me!
December 2nd, 2009 at 3:26 pm
Love you Christina!!
I sure hope she didn’t feel pressured by media to lose weight. I think she looks fabulous curvy and fabulous now with a little less curve. It should really be about health.

Just came across this from a few weeks back. January talks about Christina's weight:
