Jon Hamm is one very busy bee. I am not sure if he’s done wrapping “The Town” yet, but here he is in Vancouver getting ready to shoot his newest flick, “Sucker Punch”. How cute is the newspaper boy cap.
That's not just any Tim Hortons. That is the Tim Hortons at either Burrard and Georgia or Dunsmuir and Seymour. Both are inside malls with McDonalds' across the hall. The sideways alignment makes it so.
OMG. Jon Hamm at Tim Horton's. They should make that photo into posters and have them as prizes for Roll-Up-The-Rim. Not that I ever win…not even a cookie…but still.
I meant to type newspaper boy cap, but I am having all sorts of computer issues!
I don't know what Tim Hortons is but he should be their new spokesperson. I would DEFINITELY drink me some DRAPER roast.
jez, Tim Horton's ("Timmy's") is a coffee place in Canada that has the kind of passionate following that Dunkin' Donuts has here. Canadians are deeply emotional about Timmy's.
Oh! That's the place that's been replacing DD throughout Manhattan–Jez, that DD on 42nd below… Madison, maybe? It's in with a KFC–I went in about a month ago, and looked up, and it wasn't a Dunkin Donuts, it was a Tim Horton's. Apparently their donuts are the shit, but their coffee was only meh.
Roberta, that is completely accurate with how Tim Hortons is. I worked there one high school summer–that coffee really gets into the pores. But the donuts are the bomb.
Weird to hear of it going States-side, though, gotta say.
Timmy's is like hockey to Canadians — it's embedded in our national consciousness. It's hard to explain our love affair with it in both English and French Canada. I mean, the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan have a Tim Hortons outlet, for crying out loud.
Tim's has opened franchises in Ohio and New York — if you haven't tried it, you really should. The coffee's brilliant and the donuts are terrific.
As of earlier this year, the most shops by Tim Hortons in the US, after some failures they had, was on the I-90 service centers between Syracuse and Buffalo. I drove that stretch far too many times this year on my way back to Toronto.
And yes, their chapter with Wendy's did not end well.
Now: Their sandwiches and soups are good, and so are the Danish and croissants. Their shops are almost always inviting (as in well-designed, well-lit, and clean). Interactions with their personnel are typically on the sunny side, even those with a thick accent.
About their coffee, well this is North America (for anybody who's been long enough to France or Italy: nuff said), and they are not the worst offenders. My experiences of Dunkin's are far worse.
Mari, Tim Hortons was purchased by Wendy’s International in 1995. That’s the original parent company of Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers. They’ve since been bought out by another chain, but I have friends stateside who are Tim Horton’s franchise owners and it’s great product.
I’m a coffee snob, (and proud of it) so this will necessarily reek of snobbery, but I’ll offer my hard-knock, many-a-cup-of-sludge-drunk forged opinion for the general good of the community.
Any mass-marketed coffee has it’s upper limits in quality. That said Starbuck’s and Seattle’s Best are decent even when bought by the bean out of a convenient grocery.
But I’m very blessed. I live in a small midwest-ish city and surprisingly there are three locally owned cafes within a twenty minute walk for me that roast their pro-worker beans right on site. Good beans are easily imported from all over by these smaller places (an obvious plus derived from globalization) and the closeness to the roasting is the key to something special.
Wheaties? Pshaw. A decent cup of java is the breakfast of champions. Drink up.
During the finale, he was working the crowd at a UCB performance hosted by Amy Poehler, I think. Good that he’s still working his comedy side and letting go of results.
Love Tim Horton’s coffee. Starbucks for specialty drinks. Tim’s for coffee. Double double. Good luck getting near a Tim’s on a weekday morning. I work near one and the whole right lane of traffic is at a standtill with people trying to get in. Can’t explain it.

Jon is darn cute. I sometimes dream about having it with him "wink wink"
January Jones to be on Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel tonight.
… January is on Jimmy Fallon – she's doing SNL on Saturday and his show is in the same building.
What newspaper?
Sorry, got my Jimmy's mixed up.
So cute when he smiles. More handsome when he is straight faced but cuddly looking and kind with that big grin!
And he's having a cup of Tim's which is our national coffee purveyor of choice. Good way to get into the vibe.
Yeah, you can see Tim Horton's in the background. A picture with two of my favourite things, Jon Hamm and Tim's.

Basketcase Mari is on the….um, case?

Nice — Jon's at Tim Hortons!
Canadians totally get why this is important.
I'm really looking forward to Sucker Punch. It's by Zack Snyder — he of 300 and the Watchman — and you know it's going to be awesome.

^ I fixed.

The coffee is unbrilliant. Sorry.
Okay, well, maybe not so much brilliant as it is… satisfying to some. I'm actually a Starbucks coffee drinker more than Tim's…

By the way, next time Jon orders an Old Fashioned hamburger, they may tell him they've only got it on rye.
Okay. I shall try Tim Horton’s tomorrow . I might even photograph the event.
