Thank you Basketcases, for showing up by the many dozens (somewhere around 120-150 or more), and being kind to us about our blog, for contributing year in and year out, for being intelligent and devoted and mostly really polite.
Thank you Basketwriters! Thank you hullaballoo, Anne B., Anne B.’s sister, B. Cooper, and Marly K. for coming and being a team with us! And thank you Karl B., Glass Darkly, allthatjez and Matt Maul, for being on the team even though you couldn’t come. Your contributions blow us away. And Anne, sis, and hullaballoo came all the way from California! Whoa.
Thank you again, B. Cooper, for devising and running Mad Men Jeopardy.
Thank you Nathaniel of Film Experience, for being such an avid supporter of the Basket, for coming to our party despite your back injury, and for running the magnficent Mad Men at the Movies series.
Thank you Michael Gladis, for coming to our party, for being so generous with your time and with our thrilled selves and thrilled guests. We love the clean-shaven look and we loved the surprise! Thank you for being not just a terrific actor on Mad Men, but also a fan of the show.
Thank you Matt Weiner, all the Mad Men writers and directors, Janie Bryant, David Carbona, and everyone else on the genius crew, Jon Hamm, January Jones, Elisabeth Moss, Vincent Kartheiser, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Robert Morse, Rich Sommer, Bryan Batt, Aaron Staton, Alison Brie, Talia Balsam, Peyton List, Kiernan Shipka, Jarred Gilmore, Deborah Lacey, and the rest of the magnificent cast. You blow our minds, you fill us up with delicious, thoughtful, funny and enticing entertainment, and we love you for it.
Thank you all!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

Sounds like a great night and I'm sorry I missed it. How cool that Michael Gladis surprised you! He had one line last night ("Dammit!"), but that delivery had me howling.
I hope to make it next year!
I'd like to echo most of those "thank yous." I don't think it's appropriate to thank myself.
@1. That WAS a great delivery — spoke volumes.
It was wonderful to be in the company of so many more Basketcases this year. Themed menu, cake, Michael Gladis, what more could you ask for? Thanks for hosting a great time Deb and Roberta!
I guess this old Mad News by now, but I bought a Daily News to read on the train home last night, and saw that BoK and the party were mentioned in the "6 degrees of Jon Hamm" article on page 4 of the Your New York section.
You're welcome. And thank you, too — though I was already pretty sycophantic about the Basket in the JH interview thread.
Thank you, Debra and Roberta! This site is a godsend. So sorry I couldn't make it last night. Was thinking of you. Glad it was a great time. I'll do my best to make it next year.
Deb, I knew about it (the guy interviewed me) and was so slammed yesterday that I never got to pick one up. I didn't see it online, but maybe I'll look again…

Debra and Roberta a big thank you to you! Wonderful insight from the contributors. I started with another site (which will remain unnamed) but got tired of the fighting and frankly trivial insight. Started reading everyone's comments on A Basket of Kisses and thought yes, this is the site for me.
Looking forward to more for Season 4. Also thanks for all the cast interviews. The one with John Hamm (despite techincal difficulties) was great. John Hamm offered up a lot of insight into his character so a big thank you to him as well.
Holy crap. I had no idea.
Thank you, for creating this wonderful space and helping the community here to thrive. I was so upset last night that the site was down – and yet I couldn't help laughing that apparently everybody else on the internet had the same thought as I did: "oh my god, I have to discuss this with the Basketcases!"
Thank you for a lovely evening, ladies. I had a wonderful time!
Thank you for a wonderful party. It was amazing episode, made more amazing by the group experience. It was an unforgettable night.
Double post on purpose
MANY THANKS TO DEB & ROBERTA!!! You have done a wonderful job with the Basket and wish you all the best during the slow season (not that I won’t be checking in everyday). I’ve now made a promise to myself that the series Finale (5?) I will fly back to NYC to meet all of you.
It was great…my friends had a great time. I converted one of my friends into the Mad Men realm =)
Michael Gladis looked so handsome…he was so nice. I can't believe he took a picture with me =)
See you guys next year!

here's to the Lipp sisters and all who contribute here.
C'est Magnifique!
What a fantastic night! It was everything I could have possibly wanted in a finale party for my favorite show! And Michael making a cameo appearance (and letting a young actress like me pick his brain) was an incredible cherry on top. Basket of Kisses is such a fun, intelligent, and positive entity in itself and I had a great time.
Can't wait till next year
Sarah (the bubbly Joan-y gal in the vintage ice blue dress)
thank you thank you thank you to everyone for being so wonderful, it was truly an enjoyable night. And apologies to Anne B. who was sitting RIGHT next to me when I lost it and screamed and yelled when my darling Michael Gladis came down the stairs. She was so sweet: "go get your TigerTone, girl!"
This New Yorker will definitely be at your party next year. Thank you for giving me my coffee break any time in the day I want to glance at your blog. Very insightful and nice to know there are so many MadMenaholics out there like me. I only discovered you this autumn. (In fact, I only discovered Mad Men last January on Netflix!) What do you all do in the off season? Do you continue to disect and analyze? I hope so…..
Suzanne, stick around. We are open year round.
We started this blog two years ago, after the season one finale. Basically this week (only a different calendar week), two years ago. We spent the next nine-ish months discussing 13 episodes of television, as well as reporting news–nominations/awards, appearances, Mad Men mentions and the like. We'll have plenty to discuss.
Roberta: I am glad to hear it. I'll definitely be checking in (probably on a daily basis-as I have been doing!) Thanks again. Very fun!!!
Sounds like everyone had a great time at the Season Finale party. My plans to follow-up the Bruce Springsteen concert at MSG with a drop-by at Legends didn't quite pan out, but I was there in spirit.
And good for the Sisters Lipp for doing all the heavy-lifting and for Michael Gladis for making a special night…er, specialer!
On to 1964 and beyond!
#18 Dahlhalla,
I love that you got your moment (and your photo!) with your TigerTone! All, Dahlhalla confessed that Michael "had been her Twitter wallpaper for weeks" … don't you think it's fate that he, of all people, came down those stairs?
The best part of the evening was meeting the Basketcases in person. There is something about seeing your online friends for the first time: there really is no other feeling like it. It's like coming home to a place you have never seen before: entirely new, but you feel entirely welcome.
A wonderful night. I'll do it every year.
