@ Rachel in CA #44 – Did you SEE Ben Affleck's directorial debut Gone Baby Gone starring his brother Casey and some really A-listers such as Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris and Amy Madigan? Amy Ryan was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for that film. It was excellent and my most trusted film critic Roger Ebert gave it 3.5 stars out of 4. BTW, so did Ebert's readers.

I have to say… he does seem remarkably untouched by fame as of yet. I'm very curious to see how he'll do in other venues. I will admit I'm a tad disappointed to see him in a Ben Affleck flick… but hey, make hay while the sun shines. After 3 straight years of waitering before the gigs came in, I'd be grabbing for things too. Or maybe he sincerely liked the script? It looks like a dud film, but I'm open to being surprised. I'd like to see talent like that reserved for Weiner-quality writing. I guess if Meryl Streep can slum, so can Hamm.
