  1. :-D :-D :-D

    I love it.

  2. Haha! That is great!

  3. Too funny!

  4. The best comment I read about it in the reviews, at least if you're an SNL fan, was that Betty found her "Dick In A Box"!

    Original here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhwbxEfy7fg

  5. One of the chocolates is always the little foil wrapped man with the Whitman sampler under his arm. Is he Don?

  6. it's offical. i'm in too deep. i've been watching the video on the AMC site: Talked About Scenes/Betty Opens Pandora's Box. over and over.

at first i was studying the pictures. that's clearly Don holding the horse in the picture labelled Dick and Adam 1944. and clearly Don again leaning against the car. then Betty does something amazing as she inspects the dog tags. she whispers something! i must've replayed that little whisper twenty times. you can hear the first word, but then the whisper becomes inaudible. I think i know what she says: HE MURDERED HIM.

that second word she mouthes is a two syllable word, so if i'm wrong, please, please correct me, but methinx our little Betty has gone above and beyond anyone's expectations. she may have figured out the whole ball of wax that is Don/Dick, and even though it was the divorce papers which delivered the punch that, like a prize fighter at the end of a round, sent her to the chair, stunned and dazed until she was shocked out of it by Carla and the kids; it was nevertheless the accumulation of blows which had her reeling.

that mkaes that final look at Triumphant Don at the podium even more telling if she knows that absolutely EVERYTHING about him is a Lie.

  7. LOL…Aran, I said the same thing on my Twitter! She got her Christmas present early, it seems.

And, Dragon's Breath, I noticed that too, but I think she said 'Whitman' after she looked at the dog tags.

  8. Dragon Breath, she's reading "Whitman" off the dog tags.

  9. Plus, Dick didn't really murder Don, that would be the North Koreans.

  10. I think someone had wondered in one of the threads about how Don ended up with both sets of dog tags–Don's and Dick's. I just re-watched the Nixon v. Kennedy episode, which includes a scene where Pete is musing over the memorabilia box Adam sent Don, which Pete intercepted at the office. He looks at the same photo Betty turns over, and you can see that the box contains dog tags as well. So Adam had the Dick Whitman dog tags and returned them to "Don" in the box.

  11. The Whitman's Sampler was too funny! Interesting, that the box Betty found really is only a sampler–a few pictures, a few documents, etc. If I were Betty, I wouldn't be satisfied with just the sampler. I'd want to know what else is a lie, in what other ways was I tricked and made to look foolish, etc.

  12. a bit off-topic, but i used to buy whitman's samplers every year for the holidays. last year, i was appalled to discover that the 1 pound box was now 12 oz and featured fewer of the candies i really liked. maybe i'll try the 2 pound box this ye ar.

  13. What should Betty do with that box?

Maybe you all talked about this during Don's bobbie phase, but I wonder, considering Betty's circumstances, if she should confront Don at all.

I've never been in a situation where I had to deal with an affair by a spouse, so maybe it would require superhuman strength not to say something about it, or maybe that's just an honest reflection of my limits of tolerance. But, considering that Betty's confrontation didn't change a thing, ultimately…

what good would it do Betty to say anything to Don unless she knows what her limits and options might be.

I can't imagine how Don can talk his way out of the current situation, even tho he lied with a straight face to Betty about Bobbie.

So, what would you do if you were Betty?

  14. If I were Betty I wouldn't rush into anything. She knows his first instinct would be to deny everything. I'd do some digging, and try to find out more information. I'd wait until I had all the facts, and indisputable proof. I would try to figure out what I wanted, have some goal in mind. I would ask myself, what am I trying to accomplish? and make sure I had an answer.

  15. comment on a different ep: The Hotel in Rome don and betty went to was filmed at the dorothy chandler pavillion in Los Angeles
