Kids, we’re working on it. Just honing in on the location. But rest assured, Sunday, November 8th, there will be an epic Basketgathering. And we’re hunting/gathering special guests even as we speak.

This is going to be so cool. If I can be there, I will. I may not be in costume, because I’ll be coming from something else, but I’d love to watch the show with my fellow basketcases.
RetroGirl, Deb and I are not so much in the costume groove, so while we will welcome costumes and/or vintage-wear, we will be sure not to imply any kind of pressure to wear them.
I want to take a second to make it clear to both Basketgoddesses (that's Deberta, BTW) that some of us do not care if any other non-Basketcase "special guests" show up.
We are going (that's 3,000 miles and change) to meet YOU.
YOU are the Basket. You make this place the haven it is. You have drawn the attention and affection of Matt and his lovely team of artists. Without you, well … each of us would be (or at least feel) alone forever.
So: dress up, or not. Have "special guests", or not. I am just psyched to meet THE Deb and THE Roberta.
I take some comfort in knowing that 1) there will definitely be a fourth season of MM, and 2) there’s an excellent chance that a year from now, I’ll be living somewhere a lot closer to Manhattan than I do now. Ditto Anne B: Deb and Roberta are the cake! Any “special guests” showing up would just be confetti sprinkles.
This may sound like a stupid question, but can anyone come to this Season Finale party? I love this web site, and think I even registered awhile ago…so how does the finale party work? Is there a charge? Should I bake a pan of brownies???
Amy, anyone can come. We think there will be a donations basket rather than a cover charge. We're figuring it out. Final details will be announced soon.
So wish I could make it, but coming from Australia makes it a bit difficult. But am planning a trip to NY next year, so hoping maybe I can coincide it with Season 4 opening parties or something if anyone knows when that will be.
