  1. Thanks for posting this. What a hoot. Even the Muppet version of Don Draper is the most handsome of all.

  2. This blows my mind…is it for the parents who watch with their kids? LOL

  3. Muppet Don: "Watch the suit." LOL

  4. Lol. Who are the other ones supposed to be? Harry and Pete? Kind of looked like them.

  5. "Good work, sycophants!"

  6. What's it all about? Happiness.

  7. Is no one going to complain about the inaccuracy of them wearing their hats indoors? ;)

(That's actually the first thing that came to MY mind when that scene opened)

  8. Yeah, great I'm sure.
The DC news for the day is that January Jones was on the Hill in the perfect Betty Draper black dress with pearls. According to John McCain's Twitter site, she had a tour of the Capitol and did some advocating for whales. She also posed for a photo with Sen. McCain that he had as a Twitpic.

  10. As a little girl, I'd be annoyed at not seeing any mad female muppets.

  11. Too bad that Jon Hamm was not the guest…. Now that would have been great!

  12. I laughed at this more than any of the SNL sketches. 'Good work, sycophants.'

  13. Grandpa Gene's ghost!

  14. I think it's awful. All the voice-actors come across as the same annoying/hyperactive/happy kid…and Sesame Street even had the gall to name the muppets after actual Mad Men characters, which is simply disrespectful to AMC and Matthew Weiner.

  15. My only problem was that they were "mad", "sad", and "happy" men. Shouldn't they have been "glad men" at the end? That would have rhymed! Come on, Sesame Street writers! That was an easy one. Otherwise, very cute!

  16. You're the best, Mr. Draper!'
Yes, I am, watch the suit!

    LOL

  17. Hahaha… that's brilliant.

  18. From reading the comments at Youtube, this sketch is quite a big deal in Muppetland, since "Mr. Draper" is being operated and voiced by Frank Oz. Oz was one of Jim Henson's closest collaborators (Henson called him "the world's greatest puppeteer"), the originator of Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, and many others. Since Henson's death, he has concentrated mostly on filmmaking, only coming back to the Muppets on rare occasions.

  19. Wow, Jon Hamm and MM have just completed the trifecta–"The Simpsons,", "SNL" and now…the jewel in the crown…"Sesame Street!" Good work, sycophants!

  20. "Good work, sycophants!"

I'm picturing in my mind, a 6 year-old kid asking their parents, what does that word mean. They probably are having a hard time trying to spell the word.

    Hahhaa.

  21. Looks like they recycled the Guy Smiley muppet to play Don.

  22. This could only be better if it were on the late, lamented Muppet Show, rather than S. Street!

  23. Maybe Murray will make "sycophant" the word of the day? "Base flatterer." Thank you SAT Prep training at my high school. That was fun – but I'd have liked to have seen the Joan muppet! They have broken out the Polly Darton muppet and given her red hair.

  24. Someone speculated on the FB MM site that Joan wasn't there because the Muppet folks didn't have enough stuffing for her, LOL.
