Warning about tomorrow's marathon schedule

September 26, 2009 By: Deborah Lipp Category: AMC

DO NOT use the schedule in the AMC Mad Men section. It is a steaming pile of horseshit. It has been corrected, but is still in absolutely random order and we know from experience it can’t be trusted.

DO use the schedule linked on AMC’s main page. It is difficult to use but is in chronological order (a novel idea!) and has so far been accurate.

10pm tomorrow night is a new episode as usual. The marathon is during the day.

That schedule was also a steamin’ pile this last week — had to work Sunday night, Guy was NOT replayed Monday night as per their schedule.

Nor the Wednesday morning they predicted. I was chasing that episode all week, catching the last half first when I woke up in the middle of the night — which ruined the “surprise” foot chopping.

What is wrong with these people who publish the “schedule?”

(That word earns its quotes, on the AMC site.)

Phrases like steaming pile of horseshit makes me love the Basket all the more. I cannot imagine a more apt phrase.

  4. # 4 Catch up on Mad Men with a Season 3 Marathon Tomorrow | The Naked Cookie Says:
    September 26th, 2009 at 3:48 pm

[...] If you missed any episodes from Season 3, or just want to watch them all in a row box-set-style (which we all now know is the best way), AMC is running a marathon of the first six starting at 10 AM EDT tomorrow. But heed the warning of MM uber-fansite Basket of Kisses and use only this AMC schedule as your guide — apparently the schedule on AMC’s Mad Men site is ALL WRONG. [Basket of Kisses] [...]

so is there a new episode tomorrow? or is just a catch up?

  6. # 6 Greg H Says:
    September 26th, 2009 at 4:39 pm

    Steamy pile of horseshit indeed.

See, this is why AMC needs more quality shows like MM and Breaking Bad. It would ensure those dunderheads in programming and scheduling would get it right more often. I hope.

All I'm gonna say is the following networks don't get their scheduled programming lists wrong: ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, F/X, HBO, Showtime… I can keep going here. AMC, you reading this?

  7. # 7 Barbara Says:
    September 26th, 2009 at 4:41 pm

Tivo is picking them up in the correct order.

  8. # 8 Red Medicine Says:
    September 26th, 2009 at 4:50 pm

New episode tomorrow night at 10 PM, as per usual… Since season 3 started so late, they’re not taking a 1-week break as they did with seasons 1 and 2.

  9. # 9 brenda Says:
    September 27th, 2009 at 4:46 pm

I wish they had run the marathon ahead of the new episode rather than hours earlier. Then the continuity is in place. That's how Bravo does it.

    sigh.
