Project Runway, always fun. What Not to Wear, I could use a make over. Rescue Me, becoming very predictable. Real Housewives, great mindless stuff when I'm sewing.Sons of Anarchy, kind of like it but wish they'd get the hell on with the dead fathers legacy stuff.Love Cooper Anderson on anything.Any of the bravo chef shows, Top Chef, Next Iron Chef etc. Who doesn't love Alton Brown?. Going to try out the new version of V on 11/03. Just finished watching the old one on the net and geebus how horribly campy it was but the idea was fun. Battlestar might get put in the dvd player but not before my new all seasons cd set of Upstairs Downstairs gets done.I've got two quilts in progress and my daughters clown costume (Really its her job :)) to finish so I'll have stuff on the tube that I can function with sharp objects with. *snicker* I tend to have things like the History channel, Biography, or How did they make that kind of shows running in the background of things I'm doing around the house. Ok I am trying the (right arrow)br(left arrow) break thingy tag to see if I can make paragraphs. This whole post might turn into an eye exploding disaster. Apologies.

30 Rock! I will watch that. For Alec. And Tina.

Zouli, I always hit the Enter key twice. Have you tried that? I'm almost sure you have.

When I'm not doing repeat viewings of <i>Mad Men</i> I am thinking about it. Or writing, or posting here. Nothing else that's first-run really compares.

Donny Brook #44, YES. <i>The Wire</i> was the best I have ever seen, hands down. MM is getting close, but nothing else has ever touched the dark beauty -- and even darker humor -- of that series. I learned more from it than I've learned from any medium.

Now? I watch Project Runway when I remember. Top Chef: it's full of more talented chefs than ever, but I can't remember who got eliminated the last time I watched, and I don't know why I should care.

I like Glee. The writing is catchy, and there's one character that I find great fun to watch (Sue!), but she's not always on.

I watched an episode of FlashForward and thought I'd be all, <i>OMG, this is SO appointment TV, I'm gonna watch every week!!</i> ... and then I was just, meh. Joseph Fiennes and Roldie from Harold & Kumar, take it from here. I'm sure you'll work this out.

Oh ... and I will watch Californication. But only for Rick Springfield. :)

I agree with those who bring up The Wire - it's like the "great American novel", only in television form (creator David Simon actually claims that each season was deliberately structured like a novel). I only recently became a convert, when I purchased the entire series via a ridiculously good one day only deal on Amazon. Watching the show, I come away thinking "this is America, this is how things work - and why they are so f#%ked up".

The only show that I think has a chance to live up to it by the time it completes is Mad Men.

Also love 30 Rock about as much as I love Mad Men.

Once again reiterating, but Rescue Me is having an unbelievable season - my jaw has dropped multiple times, which does not happen often.

I enjoy the campy debauchery of True Blood, though it's certainly not high art.

Recently started instant Netflix viewing Californication, which has surprised me quite a bit through just a few episodes - really though, it's totally a show that probably is a lot better if you have lived in L.A.

Still like The Office, though it's dropping in quality. Loved the 2nd and 3rd seasons of It's Always Sunny, but could barely stomach season 4 - it just wasn't funny anymore. I could say the same thing about Flight of the Conchords, which I loved season 1, then season 2 had maybe 2 good episodes and that was it.

Lost, of course. If the world ends before I get to find out how Lost ends, that would be my biggest disappointment.

Watched the pilot of Hung - it intrigued me enough to watch more, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

My sister recommended the Wire to me as she agrees with #44 Donny Brook that it is the best television show ever. I definitely love it but the "Mad Men" era of the early 1960's is preferable to me than crack-filled Baltimore of the early 2000's. My once favorite, Rescue Me, has become predictable. I'm also missing "Brotherhood". Did anyone else see it besides me? Movies and Friends reruns and reading have become my past-times. Can't wait for August 16th!
