Re Monrovia: daaaaammn.

I grew up in Arcadia (3 of my 5 siblings were born at Methodist Hospital)and all I can say is, I knew they were keeping all those crazy-ass twee-throwback places “as is” for SOMETHING.

And now, here it is. Thanks, Matt!

My sister worked at the Monrovia library after grad school. (This was during her early afraid-of-life phase.) She loved that little downtown area … especially the little tea shop with the dolls and the china. I never felt quite right about going in there. I was never wearing the right high-button shoes.

Seriously. Want to know what white people with a taste for history will get up to? Visit the Smog Belt.

And don’t forget your little white gloves. (You too, guys.)

Have you seen this interview with Janie Bryant? It seems to be fairly recent because they talked about Brooke Shields at Michael Jackson’s funeral and KJB promo’d the season 2 DVDs.

The guy taking pictures in the Flashcube ad looks like a young Ken Cosgrove. Also, OMG FLASHCUBES! My sister and I used to used old, spent flashcubes as chandeliers in our dollhouses.

I agree with S. Tarzan. It’s the pic of Don and Roger. At least, I don’t think we’ve seen that photo yet. They look like they’re up to something. I wouldn’t trust those two with my life.
