And we are glad to have a date.
I have to say, when Paul and I were together, the last thing I’d have taken him for was open-minded.

The Emmy campaign this summer should be interesting, Jon Hamm is no longer the only one with a high profile and accolades.

My husband’s birthday!
I would like to thank everyone at Lionsgate and AMC for thoroughly screwing me out of a chance to attend the Basketcase party for this one. I will be on a family vacation with my Basketcase husband and family, my newly converted sister and hers, and my brother and his.
Whatever. You KNOW we’ll watch.

Aw, I’ll only be able to watch the Season Premiere with my sister, as she’s leaving for college later in the week.
But at least we have a date.

I do believe Christina Hendrick’s birthday was on Sunday, May 3rd and there was no mention of it on the basket! What would we do without Joan, and would any other actress have been able to make Joan the icon she is today? I doubt it…

sorry, should be Hendricks’…

There will be penance.
And cake! Wait for it.

Hmm, very interesting.
Does “In a 10-episode arc on the acclaimed period drama “Mad Men,” mean only 10 instead of 13 episodes?
Hate to rush the summer, but August 16th can’t come soon enough.

I think that means that Jared Harris will be appearing in ten episodes (offhand, I think that’s a little more than John Slattery did in season one), not that the season will only be ten episodes.

So exciting! I’m directing a show that closes on 8/15, so I’ll have the perfect antidote for the post-show blues!

Things that IMDb has just taught me about Mad Men’s latest hire: he was in the Royal Shakespeare Company, played Andy Warhol in I Shot Andy Warhol, and is the son of the late Richard Harris. (Also the stepson, apparently, of Rex Harrison.)

The Hartford Courant says that production (and hence the premiere date) was delayed because they were waiting for Better Off Ted to stop filming in their studio; I feel a little proud for watching BOT recently and asking a friend why it all looked like Sterling Cooper:
