Nice to see our actors getting work

February 22, 2009 By: Deborah Lipp Category: Actors & Crew, TV-Film-Culture

The new show Lie to Me has become an addiction. Fascinating premise, very well-done. I spotted Patrick Cavanaugh (Smitty Smith) in the most recent episode, playing a potential suspect in a murder. Because the idea of the show is reading the truth in facial expressions and gestures, I imagine it’s a very meticulous and demanding sort of acting.

Basketcase Trixie saw Crista Flanagan (Lois Sadler) on a recent episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine.

And Basketcase Michael saw Vincent Kartheiser in a Barney’s New York fashion ad in the most recent issue of GQ.

Is anybody talking about John Hamm on 30 Rock. He is possibly even more attractive as the dorky doctor than he is as Don Draper.

There's been chatter here and there. Less, I suppose, now that it's the third time. You're right, there's a whole different kind of gorgeously exciting as a dorky doctor than as Don Draper, and both are appealing.

JH & JW were looking fine at the Spirit Awards yesterday.

Was that Melinda McGraw (Bobbie Barrett) on CSI last Thursday? Loving Jon on 30 Rock. It almost makes me wish Don could smile more.

Love "Lie to Me." Tim Roth is brilliant.

re: lie to me, i also thought i spotted the bethlehem steel guy as the congressman who resigned rather than have his daughter exposed…

So at the end of the Oscars ceremony when they were showing clips from films to be released this year, one of the films they showed was The Boat that Rocked and January was shown for a second, looking lovely in her late sixties bridal outfit. I was glad to see her since she wasn't in the trailer that I saw. I hope this film is good.

Aaron Hart (Bobby Draper) on Ghost Whisperer March 6 playing a 5-yo kindergartener who sees ghosts.

and on Criminal Minds in late March playing a 7-yo boy who dies in a fire.
    :-)

You stick your finger in people’s brains and they just start talking, ‘blah blah blah,’ just to be heard! And you know what, not only does it have nothing to do with what I do, but it’s nobody’s business! — Don Draper, The Rejected
