YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

January 11, 2009 By: Deborah Lipp Category: Awards

Mad Men is the Golden Globe winner for Best Television Drama.

I couldn’t be happier if the award was sitting on my own shelf.

And not for nothing, are there three more beautiful women in Hollywood? How perfectly coordinated, black, red, and blue. And Matt’s beard! Holy shit, I think I fainted.

Now that MW has two, he'd be willing to loan you one. ;-)

I don't know who else was nominated and I probably didn't see any of the other shows — but I will still unfairly be quite happy that Mad Men won. I sure hope that Weiner gets a contract soon. Love to everyone responsible who was and wasn't on that stage tonight.

I'm so happy the show won again. :D

  4. # 4 Karl Says:

MW's pimp hand is strong. I could theorize JH & JJ suffered to send Lionsgate the message that MW is The Man.

  7. # 7 Joy Says:

Oh wow, I didn't catch her nom, but that periwinkle looks stunning on JJ!

  8. # 8 JS Says:
    January 11th, 2009 at 8:39 pm

Jon and JJ look perfect posed together on the side. rd.

  9. # 9 Roberta Lipp Says:

And thanks Karl for finding the photo.

  10. # 10 Rosie Says:

    I just heard the news.

Congratulations Matt! I hope those idiots at AMC realize that they need you more than ever. Two Best Drama Golden Globes in a row? If they want a third one, AMC better give him what he wants.

  11. # 11 Karl Says:
    January 11th, 2009 at 9:28 pm

    I live to serve.

  12. # 12 Karl Says:
    January 11th, 2009 at 9:42 pm

The New York Times picked up on MW thanking “his friends” at AMC and Lionsgate.

  13. # 13 Pamela Says:
    January 11th, 2009 at 9:42 pm

My boyfriend and I argue over which show is the best show to watch. I defend Mad Men while he defends Dexter.

    In your face man!

  14. # 14 Karl Says:

Michael C. Hall just married his co-star, so he can make do with marital bliss.

Hey, it looks like they won AFI Awards the other day, too!

    January 11th, 2009 at 10:45 pm

I wanted to send out my sincere and heartfelt congratulations to the cast and crew of Mad Men on their Golden Globe win of Best Drama Series and to As usual, the entire cast looked absolutely fantastic on stage when they came up to accept their award. Everyone on Mad Men were winners this evening!!! This is the best cable show ever!!!

    Congratulations Mad Men!!!!!

  17. # 17 Karl Says:
    January 11th, 2009 at 11:14 pm

BTW, as I look again at that picture, it occurs to me that Pete and Joan never have scenes together. And since Pete gets emasculated by everyone else, I would think this a missed opportunity.

  18. # 18 GladMadWoman Says:
    January 12th, 2009 at 1:46 am

Congratulations to the cast and crew on their much deserved win. Wow, they all look very beautiful!

  19. # 19 Karl Says:
    January 12th, 2009 at 8:01 am

I think that's a better "official" photo, but I do like the one where CH and VK look a bit giddy, even if it means JH and JJ seem diverted.

  20. # 20 Virginia Says:
    January 12th, 2009 at 9:53 am

Golden Globes win for Mad Men was my favorite award of the evening. Everyone looked spiffy! My other favorite win was 30 Rock — looking forward to Jon Hamm as guest star.
