Awesome. I'm not too optimistic about a MM repeat, as the HPFA seems to like to promote the best new show. But the JJ nomination shows there's support there, so I would consider a JJ win good and a JJ+JH repeat win excellent.
For Best Actress drama the pundits have it down to Anna and January, I think Gabriel Byrne and In Treatment could be the upset for Drama and Drama Actor…afterall they did get the most nominations. And it's rare for the Globes to do a repeat even if everyone agrees Mad Men tops all these shows.
1. I provided the direct link to the Dos Santos video in a nearby thread, should anyone care to watch;
2. Based on some surfing, I too worry about In Treatment and Anna Paquin in True Blood;
3. If MW wants to make some news at the Basket, I presume he knows it would almost certainly be picked up by Whitney Matheson ant USA Today, Mo Ryan at the Chicago Tribune, and so on. Or it could be pointed out easily enough.
BTW, inasmuch as (1) MW presumably did not know the GG results when he booked the interview; and (2) MW is on record fretting about wanting to have the writers back to work by mid-January (i.e. about a week from now), I would not be shocked if MW did have a message in mind for the fanbase.
Matt Weiner came up in conversation at a party two weeks ago. I was talking to a real estate guy who knows the person who bought the Weiner's old apartment and I got to mention that I had met him at the BoK season finale party. Small world.

I should note that the critical consensus tends to be just the opposite: wins for MM+JH, but no JJ.
Kristin dos Santos, though, predicts a JJ win.

Look, this is all well and good – you gotta try to get him to open up about his deal … anyone think he'll make any news with the Basket?

Make sure to ask him why we didn't get an invite to the AMC GG party, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, LOL.
Because, you know, no one's covering it…at least, not the way WE would…heh.
There are just a few things I need you to say to Matt Weiner.
Tell him that we understand why he may feel it's better to go on without Mad Men. We know he won't be looking for other projects for long.
But, without him … we'll be alone forever.
Put it in a letter, maybe? I hear those things really work.
Ask him if the beard is a reference to the Orson Welles thing.
We totally discussed the beard, Tom.
