I was taking my son to a doctor’s appointment yesterday, and I stole the latest Town & Country. You know, the one with January Jones on the cover.
Stole it. From his very nice doctor. Next up: Breaking and entering.

Yes, but what about the story? I mean, the cover's nice, but what'd they have to say?
Haven't read it yet. Too busy stealing.
I bought it a couple weeks ago, it's actually a cool article and I must be lost but until the writer started talking about the Hitchcock references between Matthew and January…I hadn't thought about it. I think this will be her breakout year and she probably will win the Globe…
I had a chance to read this at the hair salon yesterday. It's a nice flattering piece about her carefree childhood riding horses and working at Dairy Queen, progressing to modeling in New York and her love for designer clothes (down to which pumps have the best toe cleavage). You get the feeling she's still coming into her own with the part especially trying to interpret a character she doesn't have a lot in common with personally. She looks terrific in all the clothes featured, which are a lot more conservative than usual, but then again it's T & C not Vanity Fair. She's also got a new movie coming out later in the year.
Speaking of Vanity Fair it's about the only major pub that doesn't love MM and hasn't featured any of the cast in some form (at least I don't think so). Too bad, because Annie Liebovitz would do a wonderful job with a spread.
seagirl, there was a major Vanity Fair photo spread back in May.
It's not many people that would resort to a life of crime for us, so, thanks!
I'm totally telling mom.
Roberta, thanks, apologies to VF – I was traveling nonstop that month so no wonder I missed it
Looks wonderful.
Thanks for nicking the magazine.
I am glad to see January getting more press.
And the brand-newest (February 2009) Vanity Fair has a photo spread of Ms. Jones, which they titled "Miss January."
Found some pix here, though none on the VF site that I could see. http://blindie.com/2009/01/03/mad-mens-january-jo…
Fairly hot stuff. Steal it from a doctor's office near you.
The VF feature is pretty short, it promotes her new movie The Boat That Rocked. It's a comedy apparently; they also talk about how Betty became a main attraction this past season on MM…
Vanity Fair article is not lengthy but the photos are terrific. Kenneth Branagh is my favorite actor, so I was happy about the mention of The Boat That Rocked — January joins Ken and his former wife Emma Thompson among others — the first time Ken and Em have been in a film together since their divorce. No way of knowing if they will have scenes together — or with January.
I just want to add that I love my Mad Men wall calendar which I got from Santa Claus — this month, super shot of Jon Hamm.

I have mine up at work, V. It was the only good part of going back to work today; Jon and his cigarette.
Mine's in my bedroom. Why waste Jon and his cigarette on the office?
I know the actors are not their characters. But I can't help but think that Betsy's late Mom would be happy to see her daughter in a high-toned publication like Town & Country.
Vogue featured plenty of society ladies. But the magazine also showed photos of scantily clad actresses.
