Basketcase Natalia sent us this nice interview in Australian Cosmo with January Jones. She doesn’t kiss and tell.
Betty Draper made Entertainment Weekly’s list of 2008′s most stylish television characters (she’s #2 of 10). They believe she lives in the “Connecticut suburbs,” though.
Jon Hamm hates his hair, but he admires how the Mad Men stylists keep it in place:
“I’ve had a piece of the set fall on my head and my hair didn’t move,” he said. “I had seven stitches in my head and my hair didn’t move. That’s impressive.”
Jezebel lavishly illustrates the Hamm Hair Problem. It’s everywhere.
Reporting on the premiere party for The Day the Earth Stood Still, Fox tells us that Hamm is handsome, the movie sucked, Keanu Reeves is a nice guy, and Matt Weiner still doesn’t have a deal with AMC.
The AP’s Jocelyn Noveck notes Mad Men’s “hugely loyal” audience in her pop culture year in review.
Here’s another Hamm interview (actually, it’s mostly Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly) for TDTESS. Hamm tells us that Don Draper would do a poor job of selling the movie.

EOnline’s Watch With Kristin answers reader questions:
Lorraine in Mystic, Conn.: Kristin, I had a Q about Mad Men. Will we ever see any of his mistresses again? I love January as Betty, but there’s just something about those other women…
No official word on a return for Rachel or Bobbie, but Rosemarie DeWitt, who played season one’s Midge, tells me, “I have a fantasy about coming back in 1967βit involves white go-go boots.” Matt Weiner, make it happen!
Interior Design magazine has a feature on Mad Men, and on Amy Wells, the show’s set designer.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

Can I just take this time to say, one of my producers was at a junket (I think Marley & Me) at the Four Seasons in LA, and he said he almost ran smack into Jon Hamm, who was there doing the TDTESS junket. To think, if he HAD of actually physically made contact with him, I could of touched my producer's skin that came in contact with Jon Hamm's!
Clearly, Don Draper would do a poor job of selling TDTESS. DD does not like selling things based on technology (Right Guard, Kodak). And he seems haunted by the fear of a nuclear holocaust (which was te fear at the root of the original).
I actually liked the Funny or Die sketch. In a really weird way.
Noah, I think that's the only way to like it.
I actually found that Between Two Ferns sketch pretty hilarious. The humor was very offbeat, but the majority of the jokes landed solidly. Granted this might just be because I've seen that comedian before and am familiar with his brand of comedy.
FYI, the AFI list is unranked. They always put their lists in alphabetical order.
You'd think I'd have noticed the alphabetical thing. Duh.
This was definitely a tough year for television. The WGA strike, the non-stop decline of the major networks – it wasn't a banner year. And let's not get started on the Emmy Awards…
That being said, who would ever have guessed AMC would emerge as a new powerhouse? Mad Men obviously makes the network now, but Breaking Bad's pretty damn good.
You have to wonder if HBO's Golden Age is on the downswing. I'm in Canada so we don't get the HBO Experience Americans do, but it seems like HBO's on the decline now after years of greatness.
Yay, EM!!!!!! She's the best.
Ossining is pretty Connecticut-ish, actually.
I thought that palm tree thing was lame, but humor is just a matter of taste, no? And like you said, Jon Hamm.
The Funny or Die interview was a hit-and-miss for me. My favorite line might actually be the very beginning: "Jon Hamm… Am I pronouncing that right?"
My favorite JH comedy piece may be his co-commentary with John Slattery for "Red in the Face," which is sorta like watching MadMen Science Theater 3000.
