So Slattery appeared in a benefit reading of All About Eve.
Here is a picture of him with Peter Gallagher.
I couldn’t go. We can’t hit everything, y’know?
A good friend, Mad Men fan and total theatre maven (as well as ginormous fan of the film) sent me this text message following the performance:
Slattery was fine. Angela Lansbury and Jennifer Tilly were great. Everyone else seemed under-rehearsed and Annette wasn’t grand enough, but good and fun overall.

The picture of Slattery & Gallagher is slide #5. There is no way to link to any of the individual slides, so the link will take you to slide #1.
Oh. oops.
Interesting cast. Joel Grey must have played Max Fabian.
All About Eve is such a great film. After all these years, I'm still trying to figure out whether Bette Davis or Anne Baxter was better in it.
And then, sitting on the stairs at a party, there's Marilyn Monroe. So pretty, so young, not even famous yet. Bumpy night? Was it ever.
All About Eve: now THERE'S a chick flick.
And let's not forget the magnificent Celeste Holm. Or the wickedly funny Thelma Ritter.
God, what a great film. The most intelligent chick flick EVER.
