I just finished listening (and yet, I'm still at work). Wonderful interview… I love Terry Gross, and I just love listening to Weiner speak about the show. He spoke at length about the opening titles. Fascinating.
Hamm and Slattery were also pretty fab.
The interview was recorded last Thursday, before the wins.
I thought Weiner's confession that he was working for a top-10 comedy show and still wasn't satisfied with his life was very revealing. He didn't want to be on a writing staff or even a head writer: he wanted to be David Chase or Aaron Sorkin. Now, he is, and it will be interesting to follow his career.
I would love to see Charlie Rose do an hour with Weiner and the cast of Mad Men now (I'm sure he has had segments on the show.) They've reached that status.
Get ready! Sunday, March 25, 9pm Eastern happens in 1 month and 14 days!
