Is there anyway I can get AMC in the UK? Or am I going to have to wait an extra day and download it like I did for all of season one… : (

A quick note of THANKS to Deb and Roberta for keeping the fire burning during the off-season.

I used to go on the AMC blog faithfully after every episode. It was pretty hit-or-miss over there during the season, and then it totally died off after the last episode.

BoK has been a wonderful way to keep the juices flowing through the hell known as “October07-through-July08″. Lots of great posts, thoughts, discussion and info.

    Thanks ladies!

Aww, thanks Bert! You’ve been here since pretty much the beginning, I think… thanks for your contributions.

So AMC in the UK is a no go?

Cute article about Jon Hamm in Parade Magazine.

And I agree with B. Cooper. Thank you for all the wonderful insight and making these many months until the second season actually livable.

Harry, I don’t live in the UK. You would know better than I would.

Harry, I know the time difference is disorienting, but your posts are marked with our time (Eastern US). You posted at 6am our time and came back at 9:47 to find out why you hadn’t been answered yet.

At 6 I was asleep. At 8 I was making coffee. At 9 I was still drinking coffee.

I know that we’re so damn wonderful that it seems like we’re here all the time, but that’s just an illusion created by our fabulosity.

  8. # 8 Roberta Lipp Says:
    July 27th, 2008 at 12:14 pm

Well honestly, I was up, but hadn’t planned on answering. Because I didn’t have an answer. We don’t always respond to every comment or inquiry.

  9. # 9 Harry Says:

Yeah sorry guys what can i say? I’m an eager beaver…

San Francisco Chronicle’s Tim Goodman has a long column about Mad Men. I didn’t read it because of I was afraid of a bit of spoilage.

Doing a Mad Man dinner party tonight. After the show cognac and talk.

liking your style john I’ve just seen major spoliers on aint it cool news…but dont worry my lips are sealed

Another from across the pond here – in Germany. I found Mad Men on Itunes and can’t wait to hear what happens. Would love to know where to find spoilers. I do get to watch next weeks in the States though :) And thank you Lipp sisters for your site – Wunderbar!! Say it the German way or the Roger Sterling way – it works!

  14. # 14 Rondi Says:
    July 27th, 2008 at 4:24 pm

Hurrah for tonight!!! And I second, or is it third? Or fourth? Whatever, I repeat Bert’s sentiments.

  15. # 15 Deborah Lipp Says:
    July 27th, 2008 at 5:42 pm

Claudia, we have an anti-spoiler policy here, so if you find them, PLEASE DON’T tell us.

Hi Harry – AMC is a US cable station, and BBC-4 picked up the contract for airing MM in the UK (I believe). Since the first season aired several months behind the US, I imagine that finding it on the internet (or buying it off iTunes) would be the fastest way to catch Season 2. :/

Hi Everyone Else – I am so excited for tonight! Looking forward to popping by tonight for a consistent, intelligent discussion about the premier…

  17. # 17 Jeff K Says:
    July 27th, 2008 at 8:17 pm

I just discovered your site today, as I was messing around online getting ready for the Season 2 premiere. I’m a little late to the Mad Men game (I just started watching a week or so ago when I found out my cable system had the entire Season 1 on AMC ON DEMAND) but I see you have a wealth of information on here (and no spoilers, thankfully). I will definitely be visiting you regularly throughout Season 2!

(Actually, I came for the timeline stuff, and as you point out, it’s a little more than screwed up. I thought it was only me, since I wasn’t born until the 70s and didn’t really have a grasp on it.)

Again, great work on the site!

And John, cognac sounds fantastic. I’m going to opt for some single malt scotch, personally. I might fill the water cooler with creme de menthe at work tomorrow, it should help me get through Monday.
