Collection Basket–BoK posts this week
- I posted about the hat-wearing habits of men in 1960, and of Don. Which spurred an interesting discussion about Don’s drink of choice and his arguably old-fashioned nature.
- The Best of Mad Men rocked. The Season 2 promos rocked harder.
- A little history of breakfast cereal, and even littler history of the ‘It’s toasted‘ tagline.
- We talked about Carol, Joan’s roommate
- My sister wrote 5,000 words on the films of 1960. Who does that?
- I wrote about the grooming and cooking habits of the Mad Men women. And frankly, the conversation that this post spawned took us to an all-time blow.
- Our girls keep gettin’ fug’d.
- I find a story about a woman who is friends with Matt Weiner, in the worst-titled-post ever. Ever.
- We do an anachronism check. And come up empty.
Kisses on the Lipps
- Someone’s always talking about us over at Whedonesque. Because they love us! (And the feeling is mootchull.)
- Rundangerously linked to us (after I stopped by and said hello). (It pays to blogwhore, especially with the husband of Matt Weiner’s wife’s college roommate!) (Who then blogged herself; see previous section.)
Behind the Scenes at BoK
- Deb came back. Thank the gods.
- Deb has powers.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

Okay, it was only 500 words.
But it felt like 5000 while writing it. Seriously.
You count words? Who does that?
I have a button in Word that does it for me. It’s like a thing.
Gmail Docs or Google Docs, whatever, beyond counting words also rates them on their “grade level” and ease of “readability.” Of course, it also seems to lose things I’m pretty sure I’ve saved and one time inserted crazy formatting gibberish in one of my short stories, and that took me forever to clean up, so this wasn’t a recommendation…
Word has the readibility thing too. It’s a useful tool.
