The United Kingdom gets season two of Mad Men. Lucky them!

USA Today has an article about season 2, with more juicy Weiner quotes. Reading this interview, some of it echoes Entertainment Weekly so strongly that I suspect Bill Keveney was in the same room for the same interview with EW, but pulled different quotes.

“The world has changed a little bit, but the stories will involve two things: One is that you have to live with the consequences of your actions, and (the other is) people don’t change,” [Weiner] says. Viewers “will be seeing their old friends, but they will have new problems.”

  1. The season 2 photos you've posted have kept me going for the moment – I am a little obsessed at the moment. Anything I see in the UK media I will pass on – though you'll probably beat me to it. I missed the great Observer interview with Jon Hamm that you linked to the other week. I so wish I had bought the paper that day…

  2. My news feed misses stuff; like the Entertainment Weekly cover story! But I get a lot of British media. Don't know why.

  3. Thanks for this! I’m in the UK and the BBC have been showing the first season of Mad Men on two of its lesser watched channels in various graveyard slots – the earliest is 10pm Sundays. We saw ‘The Wheel’ last Sunday and I was desperate to find out whether we’d get to see season 2. Now it looks like we will – eventually. I’m either going to have to stop myself looking at this site after July or try by whatever means I can to get to see season 2 as soon as physically possible.

Love your site by the way. I can’t wait to re-watch episodes after reading all the discussions and insight on here when I get the season 1 dvd.

  4. Helen, thank you so much. Hopefully you’ll be able to stay caught up with us!

  5. Time Magazine this week has a little blurb about MM in a segment about Summer Entertainment.

  6. Thanks, WF, nice blurb. Nice that the secondary characters get their picture in the mags sometimes too. :)

  7. The pic in the print magazine is actually different than the one on the website.

The print pic features Ken, Harry, and Salvatore (and also appears to be from season 1).

  8. Well, since we love Rich Sommer so much, I’m still happy.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
