But you happen to catch one, you kind of like it, and next thing you know, you want to see what happens next.

So true about Bravo. Roberta knows I started watching Project Runway this year, because I caught one of the endless repeats while I was sick and got hooked. I was able to TiVo the whole season and get caught up before the finale, because they just show them and show them and show them.

If AMC did that, people wouldn't be intimidated by Mad Men. Let's face it, slow and thoughtful can be intimidating.

Or have it on ONDemand, like they did during the summer. That's how I first caught the show.

BRAVO understands the old radio adage... when your jocks are getting sick of a song is when your audience is just getting to know it.

Grant you, BRAVO goes beyond that point with their never-ending stream of Top Chef marathons. But it works. The loyal, for the most part, get loyaler, and newbies jump on board all the time, ready to watch the coming season.

Guess this bad marketing idea over Mad Men is what happened when AMC is clueless about it's first foray into original shows....They need to go all "Bravo," repeats upon repeats upon marathons.....

When I got my first on-air radio job, it was Sunday evenings. Like, 6 or 7pm. Know why? Because they knew no one would be listening. Sundays at midnight is the biggest joke ever.

As it is a Sunday at midnight time is preposterous, if they want to attract new viewers.

I'm thinking AMC is stupid, not lazy. Holy moly. Unless they have some kind of arrangement w/Lionsgate that makes it too expensive to continue to air? who knows. Makes no sense.

They can easily find a day to air it at a better hour.

AMC is just lazy...

According to AMC's schedule, the next two Sunday/Monday midnights will show episodes 1 and 2. Beyond that, they have nothing. Now I suppose that COULD change, but for now, their entire May schedule is devoid of Mad Men.
